This committee was officially created in 1998 under the name of the Families Committee, but has been active since 1992. In fact, neighborhood organizations working with families have come together to reflect, train and learn about the reality of families, particularly those in the Ville-Émard/Côte-St-Paul neighborhood to better meet their needs.
In 2002, it became the Family/Early Childhood Committee and gave itself the mandate to work together in order to create a place of exchange and to offer complementary services to families in the neighborhood as well as to their children from 0 to 6. years. As for its actions, they are considered and carried out with a view to better meeting the needs of families and their children.

Social and community housing has always been a concern within the district, there was no group dedicated to it. Ad hoc situations were dealt with within committees such as Locals, Neighborhood Life, etc.
In 2014, the Housing Committee was created in response to the desire of members to highlight the importance of this issue for the neighborhood.
The committee has set itself the mandate of developing social and community housing units and promoting the right to healthy, safe and financially accessible housing.
The Youth Committee was formed in 1998 to bring together local actors who work with young people of primary and secondary school age. Its mandate is to promote concrete and concerted actions to improve the quality of life of young people by creating environments conducive to their health, well-being and success.

Annual programming of a week of drug addiction prevention
Installation of several "homework help" sites in the neighborhood
Harmonization of the committee's actions with those of the Sud-Ouest action plan for school perseverance

It is the urban revitalization committee for the northern part of Côte Saint-Paul. This territory is one of the 12 integrated urban revitalization sectors (RUI) of Montréal since 2003
These territories experience high levels of social, economic and/or environmental deprivation. Concerted and targeted intervention strategies are therefore carried out in order to significantly and sustainably improve the living conditions of the residents of these disadvantaged areas.
Côte St-Paul Nord was targeted because of the socio-economic problems present: low income, single parenthood, dropping out of school, high unemployment rate, food insecurity, in addition to being landlocked by major physical barriers: échangeur Turcot, boulevard de la Vérendrye , canals…
The Opération Galt committee brings together citizens, community organizations, institutions and elected officials around local development issues. It is open to all those who wish to work for the well-being of the neighborhood in partnership with the various local authorities.
Created in 2005 under the name of the Ville-Émard/Côte-Saint-Paul Food Security Working Group, it contributes to improving the food security of neighborhood residents with the support of the Montreal Public Health Department.
Initially formed by the Maison d'entraide Saint-Paul/Émard and the CSSS du Sud-Ouest – Verdun, eight (8) representatives from different sectors joined this group in 2007. The vision changed, going from a mainly focused on services such as food assistance, to an integrated approach aimed more at actions that influence and innovate the food system. More explicitly, the establishment of this structure is with a view to facilitating access to fresh and affordable food while paying particular attention to citizen involvement in the various decision-making processes surrounding the components of the local food system.
Although it was able to bring together multi-sector members who work together towards a common goal, the fact remains that the independent status of the group leads to additional efforts in terms of mobilization, dissemination of information, understanding of the mandate, etc.
For all these reasons, in 2012, the working group joined the ranks of the consultation committees and gave itself the mandate to work together and act to improve food security with the aim of achieving food self-sufficiency and increase the sense of belonging of the citizens of Ville-Émard/Côte-St-Paul.
At the end of 2015, a group of local actors came together at the invitation of the Regroupement pour personnes aînées du Sud-Ouest Montréal to share their views on the needs of seniors in Ville-Émard/Côte. St. Paul. The problem of isolation appears to be a major concern, and therefore a priority for action. Thus, this group of actors is implementing the concerted project “Un PARI pour NOUS” in Ville-Émard/Côte St-Paul. This is broken down into concerted actions regarding the "identification" of vulnerable seniors (door-to-door) and "awareness" actions with a view to improving the quality of life and access to services within environments (Poivre & Sel Cafés, Info capsules on issues and services, reflection leading to the RADAR project, etc.).
At the end of 2015, a group of local actors came together at the invitation of the Regroupement pour personnes aînées du Sud-Ouest Montréal to share their views on the needs of seniors in Ville-Émard/Côte. Thus, in April 2019, this group became the Seniors Committee and gave itself the mandate to monitor the issues of seniors, to act together by proposing actions, measures or any other possible solution or improvement aimed at meet the needs of seniors.
